The Chaplaincy curriculum provides students with a comprehensive, integrated, interfaith, and applied theology education. Caring for the self and the world is integrated throughout, with a focus on personal resilience while engaging in servant leadership, crisis intervention, grief management, and sacred justice ministry.

  • CHAP 2023: Register for FEMA Classes that are required

  • CHAP 2024: IS-0100.c An Introduction to the Incident Command System

  • CHAP 2025: IS-0200.c Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response

  • CHAP 2026: IS-0700: National Incident Management System, An Introduction

  • CHAP 2027: IS-0800.d: National Response Framework, An Introduction

  • CHAP 2030: Impacts of Crisis on Anxiety and the Mind

  • CHAP 2031: Aspects of Grief *

  • CHAP 2032: Circumstantial Factors Influencing Grief * 

  • CHAP 2040: CPR AED Adult Infants Child First Aid

  • CHAP 2050: Grief's impact on Alcohol & Substance Abuse*

  • CHAP 2051: Pastoral Care: Rights and Protections for Clients *

  • CHAP 2052: Strategies For Funerals & Bereavement

  • CHAP 2053: The Difference Between The Chaplain & Church Pastor


NOTE: All Chaplaincy students are additionally required to complete in-person Clinicals for Hospice, Hospital & Funeral experiences to display and learn adequate application of Chaplain Ministry responsibilities within these environments. 


Completion of all clinical exercises earns the student a total of 6 Credit Hours
